Dr. Swartz's take on this years Summer Session

Here is what students have to say about summer session 2010:

1.You prefer five week sessions by a 31-11 margin.

2.You prefer online classes by a 26-16 margin.

3.You prefer evening classes (24) and then morning classes (22) over afternoons (17).

4.The classes most requested are 421 (14), 480 (10), 416 (9), 408 (8), and 307 (6).

Comments: It would appear that almost all classes other than something arranged like internships or projects will be over a five week session.
We will offer only a limited selection of online classes, however, because some courses are not designed for this kind of learning. We will array our offerings leaning toward mornings and evenings.
we intend to offer those five most requested classes along with our gateway course, possibly online, IBM 301. Because demand is not expected to be high we likely will offer only those seven classes along with IBM 400, special projects, and IBM 441/442, internships.
